About JBC
My profile
I come from a commercial background having worked in Marketing Management positions for companies such as Compass Group, RHM and Smith & Nephew. I studied with The Coaching Academy and have a Coaching Diploma (IDPC; International Diploma in Professional Coaching ). As a member of The Coaching Academy, I am bound by their professional code of ethics, which I can supply a copy of on request. I have been working with private individuals, corporates and small businesses for the last 6 years in the fields of career coaching, executive coaching, mentoring, leadership development and outplacement consultancy.
My vision
My vision is to work with individuals and businesses on a 1:1 basis and as part of a group to help them to be authentic and achieve their goals whether that is in their career or business. – I am committed to my own professional development and my aim is to continue to develop my coaching and facilitation skills. My vision is to use my skills on a 1:1 and group basis both in the UK and overseas.
My intention
My intention is to help my clients to become their authentic selves – to appreciate who they are, play to their strengths and realise what they can offer to the world. I want them to believe in themselves and to live a life which has purpose for them and that makes them feel happy and fulfilled.
My coaching philosophy
My coaching philosophy is to personally engage with my clients and to connect with them on a human level. When I am 100% focused on the client then the right questions flow and my intuition guides me to help the client to get to where they want to go. I want to bring a motivating energy to my clients and a lightness which helps their journey feel easier and clearer. My coaching style is very conversational and direct. I like to support and challenge my clients to think outside the box and look at themselves, their career and business in a different way. I help my clients to keep focused and on track to achieve stretching goals.
My Life Journey
I started having life coaching myself in 2002. I was going through a divorce, had been to counselling and decided that I needed some support to start looking to and building a new future for myself. For me, coaching transformed my life and the way that I feel about myself. My coach worked with me to discover my values and to uncover any limiting beliefs that were holding me back. In 2003 I went on an amazing holiday called The Big Stretch which is a walking and coaching holiday in Northern Spain. After this holiday I had the realisation that I had found abilities as a coach and that I have very strong intuition. I decided to book onto a coaching diploma course with The Coaching Academy which I completed in 2004. In 2005 I worked with a fantastic career coach who helped and supported me on my journey from working in the corporate world in marketing to becoming a self employed coach. Again, the support was invaluable.
As a coach I work with 3 different groups of people:
- Leaders in organisations
- Those who want to develop their careers – either within their current organisation or finding a new role
- Owners / Directors of small businesses.
I hope that we will have the opportunity to work together so that you can experience the impact that coaching can have to help you achieve your career or business goals.
